I don’t know about you, but I have a tendency to hoard my scrap cardstock. The scraps seem to wind up in a box, forgotten on the shelf. They really want to be a part of something crafty. Over the next several months I am going to explore different ways to use up that scrap card stock. By the end of the series you will really have made a dent in your scrap cardstock stash!
Here is a cute card that you can make using up pieces of scrap card stock for a cute background! It is nice and cheery so whoever the lucky recipient is I know they will LOVE it! The card is perfect for a beginning stamper, no dies are used and the color technique is super easy to learn!
For this card I wanted the colors to be super bright and cheery and the 2024-2026 In Colors really fit the bill perfectly! I used the Happiest Day set, absolutely love the little dragonfly. I wanted the wings to have an onbre effect so I used sponge daubers to ink up the inside of the wings. Then I fussy cut them out for the card. If you have ever seen a dragonfly in real life their wings shimmer so I added a touch of Wink of Stella.
Don’t forget to download the free PDF of the card sketch and directions! This is one you will want to use again and again!
