What Do I Really Need to Get Started?

This is a question I get asked a lot. When you start a new hobby many times you are confused with so many offerings that you just aren’t quite sure what to buy.  You may purchase items that are a little too advanced yet and then get frustrated when you don’t get the results you want.  Stamping is just like learning to walk.  You need to start out slow and then build on what you have learned gaining knowledge and confidence as you go!

I have made up a list of basic supplies that every stamper should possess.  As you progress you will want to add other toys but this list will get you started creating beautiful works of heart!

Remember these are only suggestions but it will give you an idea of where to start!  The most important thing is buy what really speaks to you and what you like, there is no right or wrong way to rubber stamp!

Basic Supplies

  1. A permanent black ink pad, such as Black Staz-on ink.  This pad lets you watercolor without bleeding.
