Twelve Days of Christmas – Day 5

We’re stepping things up on today’s stop of the Twelve Days of Christmas tour. It’s time to break out the dies! I love how a few die-cut pieces can add layers, dimension, and that little something extra to a handmade card. Come see what a difference a die cut or two can make!

Guess what’s still available? October’s Product of the Month, the Shining Star Dies! I used these the for today’s project. You get 23 individual star dies for just $5 with a qualifying $75 purchase, while supplies last.

I mixed several Designer Series Papers with a little Metallic Red Specialty Paper to create a fun patchwork effect. The red metallic paper adds just enough shine to let the patterned paper be the star of the show!

I went with traditional Christmas colors, but wouldn’t blues and silver or greens and gold be gorgeous, too? Try your own color combo and share a photo in the comments. I’d love to see what you make!
