When I first saw the Lily of the Valley Bundle and the Valley in Bloom Suite, I was instantly drawn to their bright, vibrant colors. The cheerful florals and fresh palette immediately caught my eye and reminded me of the beauty of a garden in full bloom. They were simply too pretty to resist!

This is the second card I’m sharing featuring the beautiful Lily of the Valley Bundle and Valley in Bloom Suite. As I mentioned in my previous post, these delicate flowers hold a special place in my heart. They always remind me of my mother, who passed away in 2001, and of the Lily of the Valley that bloomed around our home each spring.
The bright color of the plaid background and elegant floral die cut images create a cheerful design that’s perfect for so many occasions. To add a unique touch, I trimmed the corners of the card, giving it an unexpected shape that adds a bit of extra interest without distracting from the image and beautiful paper.
One of my favorite ways to add depth to a card is by creating a soft background with Blending Brushes. After blending the color, I tap a Water Painter against a pen to splatter tiny droplets across the cardstock, giving it a subtle distressed look. To finish it off, I repeat the splatter technique using a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, adding just the right amount of sparkle that catches the light beautifully.

I hope this project inspires you to create something beautiful while making a few special memories of your own.
