Hot Foil on Vellum Technique

I’ve been having so much fun playing around with the Stampin’ Hot Foil System, and of course, I had to see what would happen if I tried it on vellum!

As soon as I started working with the vellum, it brought me right back to when I first started stamping. One of the techniques I learned way back then was thermal embossing on vellum to create a beautiful stained-glass effect. I remember being amazed at how something so simple could look so pretty!

Using the Hot Foil System with vellum gives that same beautiful translucent look, but with a fresh new twist—and a little extra shine!

It’s funny how crafting techniques have a way of coming back around. So many memories came flooding back while making this card. I guess the old saying really is true… everything old becomes new again!

If you have some vellum tucked away in your craft stash, pull it out and give it a try with your Hot Foil System. You might just rediscover an old favorite technique in a whole new way!
